ORDINANCE: <br />ANNUAL-APPRO- <br />PRIATION <br />( 2nd reading) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS,'with the leadership of the four seniors, Rick Carlisle, <br /> Kenton Edelin, Ricky Stokes, and Othell Wilson, and Coach Terry Holland, <br /> the Cavaliers exceeded all expectations by winning the NCAA Eastern <br /> Regional Championship and advancing to the Final Four in Seattle, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, ,the Cavaliers have~.~continually provided an example of <br /> sportsmanship and dedication which has bound the community together. <br /> <br /> THEREFORE, we, the City CoUncil of the City of. The <br />motion was seconded by Dr. Gunter and the resolution was approved by Council, <br />with Mr.?Conover absent.during the vote. <br /> wHEREAs~ the City of Charlottesville ("City") and the Charlottesville <br />Redevelopment and Housing Authority ("Authority") entered into a <br />Cooperation Agreement dated October 27, 1983 ("Cooperation Agreement") <br />which sets forth the responsibilities of the City and the Authority for the <br />development and financing of the hotel, conference center, corporate training <br />facility and parking deck ("Project") to be constructed within the Vinegar <br />Hill Redevelopment Project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City and the Authority now desire to amend the Cooperation- <br />Agreement to reflect certain changes in circumstances concerning the <br />development and financing of the Project which have occurred since the <br />execution thereof or which may arise hereafter; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville, <br /> <br /> 1.
