MR. DOUGLAS <br />ZIRKLE AND MR. DAVE GIBSON~ ARCHITECT FOR THE PETITIONER~ ADDRESSED THE COUNCIL ON <br />BENALF OF TNE PETIJTtON AND EXPLAINED THE PROPOSED USE. MR, GEORGE GILLIAM~ ON BEHALF <br />OF THE PROPERTY OWNERS IN THE AREA AND SEVERAL PROPERTY OWNERS ADDRESSED THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />IN OPPOSITION. ON MOTION BY MR. VAN YAHRES~ SECONDED BY MR. WRIGHT~ THE RECOMMENDATION <br />OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION WAS UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED. <br /> <br /> A PUBLIC HEARING WAS ALSO HELD ON A REQUEST TO REZONE THE NORTHERLY PORTION OF <br />2005 JEFFERSON PARK AVENUE FROM R-2 RESIDENTIAL TO R-3 MULTIPLE DWELLING. A <br />COMMUNICATION WAS PRESENTED FROM THE PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDING THAT THE REQUEST <br />BE DENIED. MR. B. B. WOODSON ADDRESSED THE COUNCIL IN BEHALF OF THE PETITION AND <br />MR. CHARLIE HAUGH~ REPRESENTING THE PROPERTY OWNERS tN THE AREA SPOKE IN OPPOSITION. <br />ON MOTION BY MR. RINEHART~ SECONDED BY MR.
