AFTER HEARING <br />THOSE WISHING TO SPEAK, THE VICE-MAYOR HADE THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT REGULATING THE <br />PLACING OF PICTURES or POSTERS ON THE WALLS OF CITY OWNED PROPERTY: <br /> <br /> THE COUNCILfS POLICY CONCERNING PLACING PICTURES, PORTRAITS, AND POSTERS ON THE <br /> <br />WALLS OF RECREATION DEPARTMENT PROPERTIES IS IN ACCORD WITH THAT POLICY RECENTLY ADOPTED <br />BY THE HEAD OF THE DEPARTMENT OF RECREATION. iN SHORT, THE POLICY WILL NOT ALLOW ANY <br />PICTURES, SYMBOLS~ PORTRAITS~ POSTERS, WORDS OR SIMILAR ITEMS TO BE PLACED ON ANY WALLS <br />OF THOSE PROPERTIES UNLESS SUCH ITEMS ARE DEPARTMENT POSTERS AND SIGNS SERVING FUNCTIONS <br />RELATED TO ROUTINE DEPARTMENT ACTIVITIES OR UNLESS SUCH ITEM DEPICTS A PROMINENT PERSON <br /> <br />AFTER WHOM THE FACILITY OR AREA IS NAMED. HR.
