BILLY PERKINS ADDRESSED THE COUNCIL AND PRESENTED A RESOLUTION OF THE <br /> <br />BAR ASSOCIATION URGING THE CITY COUNCIL OF CHARLOTTESVILLE AND THE BOARD OF <br /> <br />SUPERVISORS OF ALBEHARLE TO TAKE WHATEVER ACTION IS DESIRABLE TO IMPLEMENT THE <br /> <br />STATE WODE COURTS NOT OF RECORD PLAN IN CHARLOTTESVILLE AND ALBEMARLE AS SOON <br /> <br />AS POSSIBLE, INCLUDING A STUDY OF THE DESIRABILITY AND FEASIBILITY OF APPOINTING <br /> <br />MORE THAN ONE FULL-TIME JUDGE FOR THE MUNICIPAL AND COUNTY COURTS. VAN YAHRES) THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION <br /> <br />WAS UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED: <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE THAT THE <br />MAYOR AND CLERK OF THE COUNCIL BY AND THEY ARE HEREBY AUTHORIZED TO EXECUTE A <br />CERTA:tN AGREEMENT OF EASEMENT TO BEAR DATE AS OF OCTOBER 16, 1972, CONVEYING TO <br />THE VIRGINIA ELECTRIC AND POWER COHPANY, A CORPORATION ORGANIZED AND EXISTING <br />UNDER THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF VIRGINIA, A RIGHT OF WAY ACROSS THE PROPERTY OF <br />THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE) AS SHOWN BY PLAT BEARING NUMBER CH-127-72, EXHIBITED <br />TO THE City COUNCIL, SAME TO BE SIGNED BY THE MAYOR ON BEHALF OF THE CiTY OF <br />CHARLOTTESVILLE AND ATTESTED AND SEAL AFFIXED BY THE CLERK. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE TO REPEAL SECTION 19-75 OF THE CODE OF <br /> <br />THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE ENTITLED 'SAME-SALE OF WINE'", WAS OFFERED BY MR. <br /> <br />GILLIAM, SECONDED BY MRS. SEVERAL PEOPLE ADDRESSED THE COUNCIL IN SUPPORT OF THIS ORDINANCE. <br /> <br />THE:ASSiSTANT CITY MANAGER ADVISED THE COUNCIL THAT BIDS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED <br /> <br />FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF MELBOURNE ROAD) AND THE BRIDGE CROSSING THE SOUTHERN <br /> <br />RAILROAD, AND THAT FAULCONER CONSTRUCTION COMPANY WAS LOW BIDDER WITH A BASE BID <br /> <br />OF 9456)780.55.
