LEEr MR. MOUNT, MR. PONTON AND MR. SCRIBNER. ABSENT: MR. HAGGERTY. <br /> THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF OCTOBER 7, 1963 WERE READ AND APPROVED. <br /> PETITIONS WERE PRESENTED FROM RESIDENTS OF LOCUST AVENUE REQUESTING THAT THE <br /> DECISION TO BAN PARKING ON LOCUST AVENUE BE RECONSIDERED. A HOTION BY HR. SCRIBNER~ <br /> SECONDED BY MR. LEE THAT THE ACTION BANNING PARKING ON LOCUST AVENUE BE RESCINDED, <br /> WAS UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED. <br /> <br /> MR. OLIVER C. HALL ADDRESSED THE COUNCIL AND REQUESTED THE RETURN OF HIS <br /> <br />UTILITY DEPOSITS OR THE PAYMENT OF INTEREST ON THE DEPOSITS. NH. HALL ALSO REQUESTED <br />THAT THE AMOUNT OF UTILITY TAX BE SHOWN AS A SEPARATE ITEM ON HIS BILLS. CHAMBERLAIN AGAIN ADDRESSING fee COUNCIL ON BEHALF <br />OF THE REQUEST. THREE PETITIONS WERE PRESENTED AND SEVERAL PEOPLE ADDRESSED THE <br />COUNCIL IN OPPOSITION. A MOTION BY HR. LEE, SECONDED BY MR. SCRIBNER THAT THE <br />REQUEST BE DENIED WAS UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED. <br /> <br /> THE PUBLIC HEARING ON THE REQUEST TO ALLOW A SALES OFFICE IN SUBDIVISIONS DURING <br />DEVELOPMENT WAS RESUMED. MR. LEROY BRUTON AGAIN ADDRESSED THE COUNCIL ON BEHALF OF <br />THIS REQUEST. AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND REENACTING SECTION 9 <br /> <br />OF ARTICLE IV OF APPENDIX II ENTITLED 'USE REGULATIONS' OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br /> <br />CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1959, BY THE ADDITION THERETO OF A NEW USE REGULATION NUMBERED 10", <br /> <br />WAS OFFERED BY MR. LEE, SECONDED BY HR. PONTON AND CARRIED OVER TO THE 'NEXT MEETING <br /> <br />FOR CONSIDERATION. <br /> <br /> A COMMUNICATION WAS PRESENTED REQUESTING THAT THE CITY CONSTRUCT AND ACCEPT THE <br /> <br />]300 BLOCK OF ROSE HILL DRIVE. THE CITY MANAGER REPORTED THAT THE COST OF CONSTRUCTING <br /> <br />THIS STREET WOULD BE ~50.00. ON MOTION BY MR. SCRIBNER, SECONDED BY HR. PONTON, <br /> <br /> IT WAS UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED THAT THE CITY CONSTRUCT AND ACCEPT~ UPON COMPLETION) THE <br /> <br />1300 BLOCK OF ROSE HILL DRIVE, PROVIDED~ THE PROPERTY OWNERS WILL DEPOSIT WITH THE <br /> <br />CITY THE SUM OF ~2,850.00. <br /> <br /> A REQUEST FOR UTILITIES FOR THE QUEEN CHARLOTTE SUBDIVISION, WHICH IS OUTSIDE <br /> <br />THE CITY~ WAS REFERRED TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION FOR RECOMMENDATION. <br /> <br /> A REQUEST TO ACCEPT CAMELLIA DRIVE INTO THE CITY STREET SYSTEM WAS REFERRED TO <br /> <br /> <br />
