2 <br /> <br /> The previously approved guiding principles were reviewed and changes <br />recommended. It was agreed that these changes would be made and sent back to <br />Council. <br /> <br /> Mr. Schilling asked how the guiding principles affect Council's vision statement. <br /> Ms. Hamilton said she thinks the vision statement is a separate issue. <br /> <br /> Mr. Schilling said that perhaps we ought to make a decision as a Council to set <br />the vision aside to avoid confusion. <br /> <br /> Ms.. Hamilton said that reaching across jurisdictional lines is the only thing in the <br />vision statement not in the guiding principles. Ms. Hamilton agreed that Council should <br />deal separately with the vision statement. <br /> <br /> Ms. Hamilton added culture to the guiding principles. <br /> <br /> Council agreed that the theme areas identified are actually goal areas. <br /> <br /> Mr. Schilling added University relations and City/County relations to the <br />principles. <br /> <br /> Mr. Fink suggested adding connectivity. <br /> <br /> Mr. O'Connell suggested that public infrastructure be added. <br /> <br /> Councilors and Planning Commissioners said they were comfortable with the idea <br />of a Task Force, on the condition that there be good representation and that they provide <br />an opportunity for input from a diverse public. <br /> <br /> The meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />President Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
