NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CHARLOTTESVILLE CITY COUNCIL WILL BE HELD ON Monday, September 19, 2005 AT 6:00 p.m. IN THE Second Floor Conference Room. THE PROPOSED AGENDA IS AS FOLLOWS: Closed session as provided by Section 2.2-3712 of the Virginia Code BY ORDER OF THE MAYOR BY Jeanne Cox SECOND FLOOR CONFERENCE ROOM - September 19, 2005 Council met in special session on this date with the following members present: Dr. Brown, Mr. Caravati, Ms. Hamilton, Mr. Lynch, Mr. Schilling. On motion by Mr. Caravati, seconded by Mr. Schilling, Council voted to meet in closed session (Ayes: Dr. Brown, Mr. Caravati, Ms. Hamilton, Mr. Schilling. Noes: None. Absent for the vote: Mr. Lynch) for discussion and consideration of the disposition of publicly held real property (a) identified as 521 and 529 Ridge Street, and (b) adjacent to the entrance to the McIntire Business Park near the intersection of Harris Street and McIntire Road, where discussion in an open meeting would adversely affect the negotiating strategy of the City, as authorized by Section 2.2-3711 (A)(3) of the Virginia Code; for discussion and consideration of prospective candidates for appointment to City boards and commissions, and the employment of a specific individual as outside legal counsel for the City, as authorized by Section 2.2-371 i(A)(1) of the Virginia Code; and for consultation with legal counsel regarding the negotiation of a cost sharing agreement with Albemarle County for solid waste disposal costs, as authorized by Section 2.2-3711 (A)(7) of the Virginia Code. COUNCIL CHAMBER- September 19, 2005 Council met in regular session on this date with the following members present: Dr. Brown, Mr. Caravati, Ms. Hamilton, Mr. Lynch, Mr. Schilling. Dr. Brown introduced Rebecca Keyworth, a student from the University of Virginia, who will serve as an intern in the Mayor's office.
