ON <br />MEETINGS DEFERRED. <br />MOTION BY MR, WEINBERG, SECONDED BY MR. SCRIBNER, ACTION WAS DEFERRED UNTIL A <br />LATER DATE. <br />A PETITION FROM SEARS ROEBUCK AND COMPANY REQUESTING PERMISSION TO OPERATE <br />PETITION GRANTED - OIL FILLING AN OIL FILLING STATION AT THEIR STORE ON WEST MAIN STREET WAS CARRIED OVER TO <br />STATION - SEARS, ROEBUCK & CO. <br />THE NEXT MEETING FOR CONSIDERATION. <br />A COMMUNICATION WA5 RECEIVED FROM MRS, FRANCES E. BISHOP REQUESTING PERMISSION <br />TO INSTALL DRAIN FIELDS FROM HER SEPTIC TANK ON THE MOORE~S CREEK PROPERTY, A <br />REQUEST RE: DRAIN FIELDS <br />ON MOORE~S CREEK PROPERTY. MOTION BY MR, COLEMAN, SECONDED BY MR, SCRIBNER THAT THIS REQUEST BE GRANTED WITH <br />THE UNDERSTANDING THAT THERE WOULD BE NO LIABILITY ON THE PART OF THE CITY, AND THAT <br />THE APPLICANT WOULD DISCONTINUE USE ON NOTICE OF THE CITY MANAGER, WAS UNANIMOUSLY <br />ADOPTED, <br />A COMMUNICATION WAS RECEIVED FROM J, EARL BARNETT STATING THAT THE CONDITIONS <br />REQUEST TO ACCEPT GRACE ST, <br />INTO CITY STREET SYSTEM UNDER WHICH GRACE STREET WOULD BE ACCEPTED INTO THE CITY STREET SYSTEM HAD BEEN <br />GRANTED. <br />COMPLIED WITH, AND REQUESTING THAT THIS STREET NOW BE ACCEPTED INTO THE CITY STREET <br />SYSTEM FOR MAINTENANCE. ON MOTION BY MR. MICHIE, SECONDED BY MR. COLEMAN, THE <br />FOREGOING REQUEST WAS UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED, <br />AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND RE-ENACTING SECTION 40 OF <br />ORDINANCE ADOPTED RE: <br />CH, 21, SEC. 40. CHAPTER 21 OF THE CHARLOTTESVILLE CITY CODE OF 1945 AS AMENDED", WAS OFFERED BY <br />MR. MICHIE, SECONDED BY MR. WEINBERG, AND UPON THE RULES BEING SUSPENDED BY <br />UNANIMOUS VOTE WAS ADOPTED BY THE FOLLOWING RECORDED VOTE: AYES: MR, COLEMAN, <br />MR. DAMS, MR. MICHIE, MR. SCRIBNER AND MR, WEINBERG.
