He said <br />residents need to be protected. He asked Council to address what has been done and <br />what they intend to do now. <br /> <br /> Ms. Shelly Murphy, Director of Program Services for Piedmont Housing <br />Alliance, announced two rallies being held regarding predatory lending practices. <br /> <br /> Mr. Bill Emory said he is delighted that historic preservation goals are on <br />Council’s agenda. He supported hiring two planning technicians. <br /> <br />th <br /> Mr. Dan Bluestone said he hopes we will all remember December 27 when the <br />Compton House was destroyed. He said it was a solid and important house. He said we <br />need to start addressing historic preservation issues when public bonds are being sought, <br />and need a system to prevent this from happening in the future <br /> <br /> Ms. Colette Hall, 101 Robertson Lane, noted that the Environmental <br />Sustainability Committee report says that glass is being dumped rather than recycled. <br />She said the Committee also recommends hiring a part time recycling coordinator, but <br />she cringes at increasing the budget. She asked Council not to lift the drought ordinance. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mark Kavit, 400 Altamont Street, said we have not heard much about <br />hydrogen fuels, and asked Council to look into the matter. <br /> <br /> <br />
