Carroll Smith informed the Council that the <br />Department of Historic Resources has approved the Route 29 <br />location for the 29th Infantry Division Highway marker <br />honoring Frank Peregory and a ceremony installing the marker <br />will be held July 18th. <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br /> Responding to a question from Ms. Slaughter, Mr. Hendrix <br /> stated that the demonstration grant on High Street would <br /> preserve trees along the High Street corridor. <br /> On motion by Rev. Edwards, seconded by Ms. Daugherty, <br /> Council unanimously approved the following consent agenda <br /> items: <br /> <br /> a. Minutes of March 10 and 21 <br /> <br /> b. APPROPRIATION: $12,751.50 - $2 for Life Funds <br /> (2nd reading) <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville, Virginia that the sum of $12,751.50, <br />received in the CitY'S General Fund as revenue from the <br />Virginia Department of Health's $2 for Life" program, is <br />hereby appropriated to the following General Fund expenditure <br />accounts for use by the following agencies: <br /> <br />05-301-061040 Thomas Jefferson Emergency $ 6,375.75 <br /> Medical Services <br /> 6,375.75 <br />05-260-042016 Charlottesville Fire Department $12,751.50 <br /> <br /> Said funds shall be used for the purposes of training <br />and equipment purchases in accordance with the guidelines of <br />the ~2 for Life program. <br /> <br /> <br />
