Edwards, Mr. <br />Mr. Toscano, Mr. Vandever. Absent: Ms. Slaughter. <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION: $660,000 - VINEGAR HILL PROJECT EXPENDITURE FUND <br />(2nd reading) <br /> <br /> The ~660,000 appropriation for the Vinegar Hill Project <br />Expenditure Fund which was offered at the November 16th <br />meeting was approved by the following vote. Ayes: Ms. <br />Daugherty, Rev. Edwards, Mr. Toscano, Mr. Vandever. Noes: <br />None. Absent: Ms. Slaughter. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville, Virginia that the sum of $220,000 is hereby <br />transferred from account 05-302-131210 of the General Fund to <br />the Debt Service Fund. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED tht the sum of $660,000 is hereby <br />appropriated from the unappropriated balance of the Debt <br />Service Fund to the Vinegar Hill Project Expenditure Fund of <br />the Charlottesville Redevelopment and Housing Authority. <br /> <br /> The meeting was adjourned. <br />Presiden~ - -v -- <br /> <br />COUNCIL CHAMBER - December 7, 1992 <br /> <br /> Council met in regular session on this date with the <br />following members present: Ms. Daugherty, Ms. Slaughter, Mr. <br />Toscano, Mr. Vandever. Absent: Rev. Edwards. <br /> <br />PUBLIC <br /> <br /> Mr. TOm Hill of 1204 Rugby Road, issued a challenge to <br />the City's Gas Advisory Committee to challenge the status quo <br />and to get details of how outside companies would manage the <br />City's gas business. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brian Campbell of 2606 Jefferson Park Avenue, <br />expressed concern that Mr. Hill was not appointed to the Gas <br />Advisory Committee and suggested that the committee be <br />expanded to include Mr. Hill. <br /> <br /> Mr. Vandever stated that Council took a long look at <br />applicants for the Gas Advisory Committee and while credit <br />was due Mr. Hill for keeping the matter before Council, he <br />felt that Council appointed the best applicants to the <br />Committee. Mr. Vandever added that appointments were not <br />made on a partisan basis. <br /> <br /> Ms. Betty Siegner of 201 Sunset Avenue, stated that she <br />was confused about the action regarding the proposed AIDS <br />Support Group home before the Council at this meeting and <br />requested that the public be provided an opportunity to <br />comment. <br /> <br /> <br />
