Edwards, Mr. Towe, <br />Mr. Vandever, Ms. Waters. ~ <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Vandever, seconded by Rev. Edwards, <br />Council unanimously voted to meet in executive session to <br />consider appointments of members to certain public or <br />quasi-public boards or agency; to consult with legal counsel <br />concerning matters pertaining to actual or probable <br />litigation or other matter requiring legal advice, more <br />specifically a claim arising out of existing personnel <br />related City ordinance~ and ~to consider the acquisition'or <br />use of real property for public purpose, or the disposition of <br />publicly held property, more specifically the sale of <br />property located in or near downtown area and the purchaSe of <br />property located in or near downtown area, as exempted by <br />Section 2ol-344(a)(1), (3), and (.7) of the Virginia Freedom <br />of Information Act. <br /> <br /> Council reconvened in open session and on motion by Rev. <br />Edwards, seconded by Mr. Towe, unanimously certified that, to <br />the best of each member's knowledge, (i) only public business <br />matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements by <br />Virginia law were discussed in the executive meeting to which <br />this certification resolution applies,-and (ii) only such <br />public business matters as were identified in the motion <br />convening the executive meeting were heard, discussed or <br />considered by the Council. <br /> <br /> The meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />Presi~nt t <br /> <br /> <br />
