Absent: Mr. Barnes. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING ADDITIONAL $45,000 FOR WALKER SCHOOL <br />RENOVATIONS <br /> <br /> Mr. Jim Dunbar, of the City School Administration, <br />stated that an additional $35,000 to $45,000 was necessary <br />to complete the renovations at Walker School. Mr. Dunbar <br />stated that the State Department of Education has required <br />that the special education classes be larger than proposed. <br /> <br /> Mr. O'Connel! stated that the funds could be taken from <br />the Capital Improvement Program where funds had been <br />appropriated to be used in 1991-1992 for the schools. <br /> <br /> Mrs. Gleason stated that the Council representatives <br />have been involved in the discussions of the Walker School <br />renovations and they were confident that the project has <br />been cut as closely as possible. Mrs. Gleason stated that <br />it was felt that the modular classrooms listed in the CIP <br />for 1991-1992 would not be needed. <br /> <br /> On motion by Dr. Hall, seconded by Mr. Towe, the <br />resolution authorizing the additional $45,000 for Walker <br />School renovations, to be taken out of funds previously <br />appropriated to the Capital Improvements Program, was <br />unanimously approved by Council. <br /> <br /> adjourned. <br />~ting was ~k~~ ~ <br /> President <br /> <br /> <br />
