Noes: None. <br /> <br /> On motion the meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />Pres ident <br /> <br />7g <br /> <br />Regular meeting <br /> <br />Approval of minutes <br /> <br />Public Hearing re: <br />Community Development <br />Revenue Sharing Funds <br /> <br />COUNCIL CHAMBER - MONDAY, MARCH 15, 1976 <br /> <br /> The Council met in regular session on this date <br /> <br /> with the following members present: Mr. Fife, Mr. Gilliam, <br /> <br /> Mrs. Rinehart and Mr. Van Yahres. Absent: Mr. Barbour. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mrs. Rinehart, seconded by Mr. Fife the <br /> <br />minutes of the meeting of March 1, 1976 were approved as <br />circulated, by the following vote. Ayes: Mr. Fife, Mrs. <br />Rinehart and Mr. Van Yahres. (Mr. Gilliam, abstained) <br />Absent: Mr. Barbour. Noes: None. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Fife, seconded by Mr. Gilliam the <br />minutes of the meeting of March 8, 1976 were approved as <br />circulated. <br /> <br /> A public hearing was held on this date on reprograming <br />of 1975 Community Development Revenue Sharing Funds. The <br />Deputy City Manager advised the Council that there is <br />approximately $195,000 of Community Development Revenue <br />Sharing Funds available for reprograming. He stated that <br />there are four projects to which this money could be <br />allocated as follows: $20,000 to purchase an emergency <br />relocation home to be operated by CHIP, this residence would <br />be used by families temporarily dislocated by code <br />enforcements; $15,000 for modernization of the apartments <br />in the Westhaven Development; $50,000 for CHIP for <br />neighborhood preservation fund, this money would be used <br />for mortgage insurance for high risk loans and working <br />fund for material for CHIP; and $6,111 for Urban Observatory <br />for a study of the West Main Street Corridor, including <br />a study of the social and economic reasons for decline of <br />the area. He stated that these projects have the unanimous <br />approval of the Community Development Task Force and <br /> <br /> <br />
