COWAN ELLIS~ PASTOR OF THE FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH~ GAVE THE INVOCATION. <br /> THE MINUTES OF THE MEETINGS OF APRIL 3~ 1967 AND APRIL 10~ 1967 WERE READ AND <br /> APPROVED. <br /> HR. LOUIE SCRIBNER ADDRESSED THE COUNCIL AND REQUESTED THAT SERIOUS CONSIDERATION <br /> BE GIVEN TO REVISING SUB-PARAGRAPH 3 OF SECTION 20-3 WHICH REQUIRES ONE PARKING SPACE <br /> <br /> FOR EACH 100 SQ. FT. OF BEDROOM SPACE IN FRATERNITY HOUSES, MR. SCRIBNER STATED THAT <br /> <br /> HE THOUGHT THIS SECTION IS TOO STRINGENT DUE TO THE SHORTAGE OF R-3 LAND ADJACENT <br /> <br /> TO THE UNIVERSITY. THIS MATTER WAS REFERRED TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION FOR <br /> <br /> RECOMMENDATION. <br /> <br /> ON MOTION BY MR. HAGGERTY~ SECONDED BY MR. M. TO CONSIDER THESE RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />1. RECOMMENDING THAT THE REQUEST TO REZONE LOTS 9 THRU 14 CARLTON ADDITION FROM <br />R-2 RESIDENTIAL TO B-3 BUSINESS BE DENIED. <br /> <br />2. RECOMMENDING THAT THE REQUEST TO REZONE 412,420~424~428 AND 432 - arB STREET~ N, E. <br /> <br /> FROM R-3 RESIDENTIAL TO B-OFFICE SHOP BE GRANTED. <br /> <br />3. RECOMMENDING THAT SECTION 35 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE BE AMENDED. <br /> <br />4. RECOMMENDING THAT SECTION 19.2 of THE ZONING ORDINANCE BE AMENDED. <br /> <br /> A COMMUNICATION WAS ALSO PRESENTED FROM THE PLANNING COMMISSION ADVISING THAT THE <br /> <br />PROPOSED RIo PARK SUBDIVISION ON PENN PARK ROAD~ FOR WHICH CITY'UTILITIES HAVE BEEN <br /> <br />REQUESTED~ IS IN AN AREA LIKELY TO BE ANNEXED AND RECOMMENDING THAT THE USE BE'RESTRICTED <br /> <br /> / <br />TO USES PERMITTED IN SECTION V OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE. THE CITY MANAGER RECOMMENDED <br /> <br />THAT THE UTILITIES BE GRANTED UNDER THE USUAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR COUNTY CONNECTIONS. <br /> <br />ON MOTION ~Y MR. VOGT~ SECONDED BY MR.
