MOUNT, THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION <br /> <br />WAS OFFERED AND CARRIED OVER TO THE NEXT MEETING FOR CONSIDERATION: <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE <br /> <br /> THAT ~3,876.08 BE AND THE SAME IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED FOR THE CITYtS <br /> <br /> SHARE OF THE COST OF A SEWER LINE TO SERVE QUEEN CHARLOTTE SUBDIVISION. <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND REENACTING SECTION 15.1-3 <br /> <br />OF CHAPTER 15.1 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1965, ENTITLED <br /> <br />'NOTICE OF VIOLATION' ", WHICH WAS OFFERED AT THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL ON <br />JANUARY 2, 1968, WAS ADOPTED BY THE FOLLOWING RECORDED VOTE: AYES: MR. HAGGERTY~ <br />MR. MOUNT, MR. RENNOLDS, MR. RINEHART AND MR. VOGT. NOES: NONE. <br /> <br /> THE CITY MANAGER ADVISED THE COUNCIL THAT SOME SEWER LINES ARE NEEDED IN AREAS <br />OUTSIDE THE OLD CiTY LIMITS= WHICH WERE NOT REQUIRED BY THE ANNEXATION COURT, BUT <br />SHOULD BE BUILT, AND RECOMMENDED THAT AN APPROPRIATION BE MADE. ON MOTION BY <br />MR,. RINEHART, SECONDED BY MR. MOUNT~ THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION WAS OFFERED AND <br />CARRIED OVER TO THE NEXT MEETING FOR CONSIDERATION: <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CiTY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE <br /> <br /> THAT ~50,000.00, OR AS MUCH THEREOF AS MAY BE NECESSARY, BE AND THE <br /> <br /> SAME IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FOREGOING RE- <br /> <br /> COMMENDATION. <br /> <br /> THE CiTY MANAGER ADVISED THE COUNCil THAT THE EVENTUAL NEED FOR A TWENTY-FOUR <br /> (24) INCH SEWER LINE ALONG MOORE'S CREEK HAS BEEN RECOGNIZED FOR SEVERAL YEARS, <br /> BUT DUE TO DEVELOPMENT iN THE SOUTHWESTERN PART OF THE CITY, THE LINE WILL BE <br /> NEEDED SOONER THAN ANTICIPATED. HE STATED THAT THE PRESENT LINES HAVE ABOUT <br /> REACHED CAPACITY, AND RECOHMENDED THAT PLANNING BE STARTED FOR CONSTRUCTION THIS <br /> YEAR OR NEXT~ AND ALSO, RECOMMENDED THAT APPLICATION BE MADE FOR FEDERAL MATCHING <br /> FUNDS UNDER THE ANTi POLLUTION PROGRAM. ON MOTION BY MR. MOUNT, SECONDED BY MR.
