THE CITY AND <br />CITY ~ SCHOOL BUDGETS SCHOOL BUDGETS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1954-1955 WERE PRESENTED ANO CONSIDERED. <br />PRESENTED AND CONSIDERED <br />A MOTION BY MR. TEBELL, SECONDED BY MR. DAVIS THAT A SYNOPSIS OF THESE <br />BUDGETS BE PUBLISHED AS REQUIRED BV SECTION 17 OF THE CITY CHARTER, AHD <br />THAT MONDAY, APRIL 19, 1954 AT 2:00 O~CLOCK P. M. IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBER, <br />BE SET AS THE TIME AND PLACE FOR THE PUBLIC HEARING ON SAID BUDGETS, WAS <br />UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED. <br />REPRESENTATIVES OF RIVANNA TELEVISION CABLE CORPORATION, FORMERLY <br />RIVANNA ELECTRONICS CORPORATION, APPEARED BEFORE THE COUNCIL AND REQUESTED <br />THAT THE FRANCHISE HERETOFORE GRANTED RIVANNA ELECTRONICS CORPORATION <br />MATTER RE: REQUEST THAT <br />FRANCHISE BE RESCINDED ON APRIL 20, 1953 BE RESCINDED BECAUSE IT APPEARS NO LONGER ECONOMICALLY <br />RIVANNA TELEVISION CABLE CORP• <br />FEASIBLE TO CONTINUE OPERATIONS UNDER THE FRANCHISE. <br />AFTER A THOROUGH DISCUSSION, ON MOTION BY MR.
