TH15 REQUEST WAS CARRIED OVER <br />TO THE NEXT REGULAR MEETING OF THE COUNCIL TO BE HELD ON FEBRUARY 21, 1955. <br />ON MOTION BY MR. rOReES, SECONDED 8Y MR. OI, MAHANES THREE HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLAR5 ($350.0 0 FOR DAMAGES TO HIS PROPERTY WHICH Hl <br />STATED WAS CAUSED BY A LEAK IN THE WATER LINE IN THE STREET. ON MOTION <br />BY MR. DAVIS, SECONDED BY MR. MICHIE, THIS WAS REFERRED TO THE CITY MANAGER <br />AND CITY ATTORNEY FOR INVESTIGATION AND REPORT. <br />MR. NEWTON J. WOOD APPEARED BEFORE THE COUNCIL AND REQUESTED EXEMPTION <br />REQUEST FOR <br />OF THE LICENSE TAX ON A MUSICAL-MERRY-GO-ROUND, WHICH HE HAS PURCHASED. MR. <br />EXEMPTION OF W000 STATED THAT THIS MACHINE WOULD BE USED SOLELY FOR ADVERTISING PURPOSES <br />LICENSE TAX - <br />NEWTON J. WOOD AND THERE WOULD BE NO CHARGE FOR THE RIDE.
