RINEHAR7 ADDRESSED THE COUNCIL AND PRESENTED THE FOLLOWING <br />REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE APPOINTED TO STUDY THE SCHOOL BUS OPERATION IN THE CITY: <br />YOUR COMMITTEE RECOMMENDS THAT THE BUSES S70P AT THE CURB <br />AND DISCHARGE CHILDREN WHO ARE TO REMAIN ON THE SIDEWALK UNTIL <br />THE BU5 PULLS AWAY AND THEN CROSS THE STREET, TRAFFIC WOULD NOT <br />BE REQUIRED TO STOP FOR THESE SPECIAL BUSES. <br />COMMITTEE REPO RT RE: SCHOOL <br />BUS OPERATION IN CITY IT IS URGED BY THIS COMMITTEE THAT THE PARENTS INVOLVED GIVE <br />ALL POSSIBLE ASSISTANCE AND SUPERVISION AT THE VARIOUS BUS STOPS <br />WHERE THE CHILDREN ARE DISCHARGED. THE COMMITTEE FURTHER RECOrnMENDS <br />THAT EACH 8US HAVE AN OLDER CHILD ACT AS MONITOR TO REMIND CHILDREN <br />TO STAY ON THE SIDEWALK. <br />IN ORDER TO HAVE THIS PROCEDURE WORKABLE WE BELIEVE IT WILL BE <br />
