APPROPRIATION: $723,000 CDBG 1983-84 are paid $60.00 for a full day at the polls which begins at 5:15 a.m. and ends when all ballots are counted. Mr. Hendrix explained that this appropriation was for programs Council had previously approved. Mrs. Gleason moved, Dr. Hall seconded, and the following appro- priation was carried over to the next meeting: WHEREAS, the City of Charlottesville has been advised of the approval by the U. S. Department of Housing & Urban Development of a FY 1983-84 Community Development Block Grant in the total amount of $723,000; and WHEREAS, the City Council has received recommendations for the expenditure of funds from the Fifeville Neighborhood Task Force, the CDBG Task Force, the City Planning Commission and the Social Development Commission; and has conducted a public hearing thereon as provided by law; now, therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia that sums hereinafter set forth are hereby appropriated from funds received from the aforesaid grant to the following individual expenditure accounts in the FY 1983-84 Community Develop- ment Block Grant Fund for the respective purposes set forth; provided, however~ that the City Manager is hereby authorized to transfer funds between and among such individual accounts as circumstances may require, to the extent permitted by applicable Federal grant regulations.
