PRESENTATION.: IVY CREEK FOUNDATION REQUEST: ADULT RESI- DENTIAL HOME APPROPRIATION: $14,000 COMMUNITY SERVICE OFFICER (2nd reading) APPROPRIATION: $4,750 ITALIAN EXCHANGE PROGRAM (2nd reading) APPROPRIATION: $50,386 YOUTH SERVICE CENTER NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Counties of Albemarle, Culpeper, Fauquier, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, Madison, Nelson, Orange and Rappahannock and the City Of Charlottesville agree to establish a policy board consisting of one member from each of these eleven jurisdictions. The Policy Board will act on behalf of these jurisdic~ tiOns .in carrying out the responsibilities and.duties of the eleven jurisdictions under the Job Training Partnership Act; and BE IT. FURTHER RESOLVED that this Policy Board shall be known as the Piedmont ~ol'icy Board; and BE IT FUTHE'R. RESOLVED that a quorum of the Piedmont Policy Board shall .be four members.from the six jursidctions of::Planning District 10 and 'four members from the five jurisdictions in Planning District 9, and that all actions of the Policy Board shall be decided by two-thirds of the members present and voting; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the chief elected official of each of the eleven jurisdictions or his designated alternate shall serve on the Policy Board. Mr. Hendrix reported that the Ivy Creek Foundation had bound a benefactor who agreed to purchase a strip of land and donate it to the Ivy Creek Natural Area. This appropriation is conditioned upon the Grants fund of $37,902 from the Virginia Department of grant number 83~II-9, $6,242. in matching funds from the lbemarle and $6,242 to be transferred from the expenditure 12130 in the General Fund 'of the City, previously appropriated.
