MINUTES <br /> <br />PUBLIC <br /> <br /> 911. Mr. Hendrix asked that Council indicate if they would allow such a <br /> change if it was found to be desirable. <br /> <br /> Mrs. Gleason moved, Dr. Gunter seconded, and. Council unanimously <br />agreed to allow a volUnteer firefighter to serve on the 911 Management <br />Board if ~it was found.to be desirable. <br /> <br /> Mrs. Gleason stated that she had heard comments regarding unsatis- <br />factory transportation from. the Airport and requested a report from staff. <br /> <br /> On motion by Dr. Hall, seconded by Mrs. Gleason, CoUncil unanimously <br />voted'to go into executive session to discuss legal matters as. exempted <br />by Section 2.1-344(a)(6) of the Virginia Freedom of Information Act. <br /> <br /> The meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />Clerk(~ . Hall, seconded by Dr. Gunter, the minutes of <br /> <br />January 17, 1984 were unanimously approved as amended. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mrs. Gleason, seconded by Dr. Hall, the minutes of <br /> <br />January 23, 1984 were unanimously approved as presented. <br /> <br /> Mr. Charles Lilly from the Belmont Park area addressed Council regarding <br />recent vandalism in his neighborhood. Mr. Lilly questioned whether the <br />curfew laws could be made more strict. <br /> <br /> Mr. Buck stated that he has asked thee Police to pay additional <br />attention to the area and asked staff to provide Council with information <br />about the curfew ordinance. <br /> <br /> Mr. William Houchens requested that Council have the. Traffic <br /> <br />Engineer review the speed limit on Avon Street Ext. to determine if the <br />limit could be raised to 3S m.p.h. Council requested that staff review <br />the situation. <br /> <br /> <br />
