Gunter moved the resolution supporting using Sullivan <br /> principles to determine retirement investment possibilities, with <br /> a review to take place after a yearr Mrs. Gleason seconded the <br /> <br />· motion. <br /> <br /> Mr. Buck requested that Mr. Sheets prepare a report on <br /> <br /> divesting of other City funds which would be considered at a later <br /> date. <br /> <br /> The. resolution was approve~ by the~foll0wing vote. Ayes: <br /> <br /> Mr. Barnes, Mr. Buck, Mrs. Gleason, Dr. Gunter. Noes: Dr. Hall. <br /> <br /> The~ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND REORDAIN <br /> SECTION 20-16 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF'CHARLOTTESVI.LLE (1976), <br /> <br /> AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE-INVESTMENT .OF CITY RETIREMENT COMMISSION <br /> FUNDS" was moved by MFs. Gleason, seconded by Dr. Gunter, and. <br /> carried over to the next meeting-for consideration'. <br /> <br /> The $1,200 appropriation for the Girls' Attention Home which <br /> <br /> had been~considered at the November 19th meeting was approved by <br /> the following vote. Ayes: 'Mr. Barnes, Mr. guck, Mrs. Gleason, <br /> Dr. Gunter, Dr~ Hall. Noes: None. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the~CounCil ~of {he City o£ Charlottesville, <br /> Virginia, that the sum of $1,200.00, received as a donation, is <br /> hereby appropriated to expenditure account 19-21040. By request <br /> of the Administrator of Community Attention and in accordance with <br /> the wishes of the donor,-$?00 will be used for landscaping the back <br /> yard at the Girls' Attention Home and $500 will be expended toward <br /> the purchase of Christmas gifts for t~he residents of the Girls' <br /> Attention Home; and <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor is requested to send a <br /> letter to the .donor expressing-Council".s gratit~ude for ~his generosity. <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrix stated that the $40,S6S appropriation for zoning <br /> Enforcement would enable the program to be car~ri~d out for the six <br /> months remaining in the fiscal year. ~ <br /> <br /> The $40,56S appropriation 'was moved by Dr. Hall-, seconded by <br /> <br /> Dr. Gunter, and carried over to the next meeting for.consideration. <br /> <br /> 'Mr. Roger Wiley, City Attorney~ stated that the ordinance <br /> <br /> needed to be amended to limit the easement to the storm sewer. <br /> <br /> Mr. Barnes moved to amend the'ordinance as stated above, Mrs. <br /> Gleason. seconded the motion and-it was unanimously approved by <br /> Council. <br /> <br /> 'The ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING AND <br /> <br /> -DISCONTINUING AN ALLEY CONNECTING FORREST STREET AND~ALBEMARLE <br /> STREEt" which was offered at the meeting of November 19th was <br /> approved, as amended, by the following vote. Ayes: Mr. Barnes, <br /> Mr. Buck, Mrs. Gleason, Dr. Gunter, Dr. Hall. Noes: None. <br /> <br /> The ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND REORDAIN <br /> SECTIONS 10-59 AND 10~59.1, AS AMENDED, OF THE CODE OF THE CITY <br /> OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 197'6, REALTING TO PAYMENT AND EXPIRATION <br /> DATES FOR CITY MOTOR VEHICLE LICENSES, AND TO PROVIDE FOR PRO- <br /> RATED FEES FOR SUCH LICENSES IN 1985" which was offered at the <br /> meeting of November 19th was approved by the following vote.
