l0 Consideration re: Ordinance - Amending sections 31-159 and 31-193 of the City Code - Zoning entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND REENACTING THE DISTRICT MAP INCORPORATED IN SECTION 31-4 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976, BY THE REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED ON 15TH STREET, N. W., IN THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE," was offered by Mrs. O'Brien, seconded by Mr. Gatewood and carried over to the next meeting for consideration. An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND REORDAIN SECTIONS 31-159 ~D 31-193 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976, AS AMENDED, TO .INCLUDE STANDARDS FOR PARKING AND ACCESS FOR HANDI?. CAPPED PERSONS IN THE SITE PLAN REVIEW PROCESS," was offered by Mrs. O'Brien, seconded by Mr. Al~ro and carried over to the next meeting Consideration re: Ordinance Amending Section 31-93 of the City Code Zoning for consideration. An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND REORDAIN SECTION 31-93,AS AMENDED, OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976, TO PROVIDE FOR ASSEMBLY PLANTS, TESTING AND RESEARCH FACILITIES IN .B-3 BUSINESS DISTRICTS BY SPECIAL PERMIT," was offered by Mr. Gatewood, seconded by Mrs. O'Brien and carried over to the next meeting for Consideration re: Resolution - Approp.~- Air Brakes for aerial Ladder Executive Session consideration. The City Manager reported that we have a second aerial ladder .truck which was purchased about 10 years ago and probably has another 10 years of life which was purchased with standard brakes rather than an air brake system and for this reason some of the men are reluctant to operate this truck for safety reasons. He stated that the cost of equipping this truck with an.~'air breaking system would be $7,100 of which $3,000 couldbe taken from this years operating budget leaving a needed appropriation of $4,100 and recommended that this matter be given serious consideration. On motion by Mr. Albro, seconded by Mrs. O'Brien the following resolution was offered and carried over to the next meeting for consideration. BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, that the sum of $4,100 is hereby appropriated from the unappropriated halance of the General Fund to expenditure account 01-22010 for the installation of new air brakes on an aerial ladder truck used by the City fire department. A motion by Mrs. O'Brien, seconded by Mr. Albro that Council meet in executive session to discuss a matters exempted by Section 2.1-344(a)(1) Section 2.1-344(a)(2) and Section 2.1-344(a)(6)-of the Virginia Freedom of Information Act was adopted by the following recorded vote. Ayes: Mr. Albro, Mr. Brunton, Mr. Buck, Mr. Gatewood and Mrs. O'Brien. Noes: None. On motion the meeting adjourned. ~ Cler~ ~
