Noes: None. <br /> <br /> Mrs. O'Brien, referring to a letter from the County <br /> regarding changes in the C~ity-County Cooperation Committee <br /> Charner, requested that this item be put on the agenda for <br /> discussion at the next Council meeting. <br /> <br /> Mrs. O'Brien also requested that City staff set up .a <br /> <br />meeting between Council and the authors of the finance study <br />from the same committee. This meeting was tentatively set <br />for May 12 at 7:30 p.m~ and Mr. Hendrix agreed to ~range this. <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrix reported that the General Services Administration <br />staff has signed the lease for the Federal Court and will be <br />soon sending a check for the amount of rent in arrears. Absent: None. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Gatewood, seconded by Mr. Albro, the <br />minutes of April 14 were unanimously approved as presented. <br />On motion by Mrs. O'Brien, seconded by Mr. Gatewood, the <br />minutes of April 21 were unanimously approved as presented. <br /> <br /> Wanda Taylor of 1215 Rivervista Avenue :stated that she <br /> <br />is very concerned about the loss of teachers' aides in the <br />City school system and wants to know what is being done by <br />the City about this problem. Mayor Bruntonexplained to Ms. <br />Taylor that Council had already made its decision about what <br />amount of funds were to be allocated to the school system and <br />that the School Board had made the decision about what programs <br />to cut~ He suggested that she speak to the Superintendent of <br />Schools to express her concern about the problem. <br /> <br /> On.motion by Mr. Buck, seconded by Mr. Albro, Treva <br />Cromwell was re-appointed unanimously to the Rivanna Water and <br />Sewer Authority Board. <br /> <br /> <br />
