26-2 <br /> <br />Resolution re: <br />Monticello Area <br />Community Action <br />Agency <br /> <br />Resolution re: <br />Authorizing City <br />Manager to sign <br />lease with <br />recycling <br />center <br /> <br />Executive session <br /> <br />Abstract of Votes <br />from May 6, 1980 <br />Election <br /> <br />which found this type of ordinance to be valid. The ordinance <br />entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND REORDAIN SECTION 16-56 OF THE <br />CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976, AS AMENDED, RELATING <br />TO PERMIT PARKING ZONES, TO ESTABLISH A NEW PERMIT ZONE IN THE <br />STARR HILL AREA," which was offered at the meeting of Council on <br />April 21, 1980, was adopted by the following vote. Ayes: <br /> <br />Mr. Albro, Mr. Brunton, Mr. Buck, Mr. Gatewood, Mrs. O'Brien. <br />Noes: None. <br /> <br />On motion by Mrs. O'Brien, seconded by Mr. Albro, the <br /> <br />following resolution was unanimously adopted. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Monticello <br />Area Community Action Agency (MACAA) has recently reaffirmed <br />its commitment to non-discrimination in the operation of <br />its programs, and has requested the support of City Council <br />for that commitment; now, therefore, be it <br /> <br /> RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville <br />that it shall be the policy of the City that all MACAA programs <br />as with other programs operated or supported by the City shall <br />be conducted on a non-discriminatory basis, and that no person <br />shall be denied the benefits thereof on account of race, religion, <br />sex, income status, age or physical handicap. <br /> <br />On motion by Mrs. O'Brien, seconded by Mr. Albro, the <br /> <br />following resolution was unanimously adopted: <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville <br />that the City Manager is hereby authOrized to execute on behalf <br />of the City the following document, in form approved by the <br />City Attorney; <br /> <br />Lease agreement between the City of Charlottesville and <br />the Charlottesville-Albemarle Clean Community Commission <br />renewing a previous agreement for the use of city-owned <br />property north of the Lane Athletic Stadium for a <br />collection and recycling center. <br /> <br /> A copy of such document shall be kept on file with the <br />minutes of the Council meeting at which this resolution was <br />adopted. <br /> <br />On motion by Mr. Albro, seconded by Mr. Buck, Council <br /> <br />unanimously agreed to meet in executive session to discuss <br /> <br />matters exempted by Section 2.1-344(a) (6) (Legal) of the Virginia <br /> <br />Freedom of Information Act. <br /> <br />- ~ ' Clerk ~ Presiae~t <br /> <br />ABSTRACT OF VOTES cast in the County/City of Charlottesville, <br />Virginia, at the general election held on May 6, 1980, for <br /> <br />City Council. <br /> <br /> Total Votes Received <br />Names of Candidates (in writing) <br /> <br />Peter V.
