While no hard data exists on pedestrian safety problems if 1st Street is opened, Mr. Marshall stated that based on observation he thought there would be numerous podestrian/vehicular conflicts at this crossing and traffic back-ups into Water Street. Mr. Conover suggested opening 1st Street to bus traffic only and Mr. Hendrix agreed to supply some information on this topic as well as additional safety information. Council carried the matter over to the next meeting for consideration. On motion by Mr. Conover, seconded by Mr. Albro, Council voted unanimously to approve a permit for the V.F.W. turkey ~hoot. On motion by Mr, Albro, seconded by Mr. Conover, Council unanimously approved the following resolution which was presented by the Mayar to Ms~,~Shaw.
