Ordinance re: Amending Sections 10-25 & 10-63 relating to delinquent taxes Ordinance re: 'Amending Section 10-50 relating to exemptions from utility taxes Executive session Regular session Executive session Approval of minutes Matters by the public On motion by Mr. Albro, seconded by Ms. Gleason, an ordinance titled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND REORDAIN SECTIONS 10-25 AND 10-63, AS AMENDED, OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976, RELATING TO PENALTIES AND INTEREST ON DELINQUENT TAXES" was offered and carried over to the next meeting for consideration. On motion by Mr. Albro, seconded by Ms. Gleason, an ordinance titled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND REORDAIN SECTION 10-50 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976, RELATING TO EXEMPTIONS FROM UTILITY TAXES" was offered and carried over to the next meeting for consideration. On motion by Mr. Albro, seconded by Dr. Hall, Council unanimously agreed to meen in executive session to discuss matters exempted by Section 2.1-344(a)(1)(Personnel), (2)(Property) and (6)(Legal) of the Virginia Freedom of Information Act. Following the'executive session, Council convened in the Coun(.il Chambers for the remainder of the regular meeting. On motion by Dr. Hall, seconded by Ms. Gleason, Council unanimously approved the minutes of February 2 as presented. Ms. Mac.elyn Manley of 776 Ridge Street read a letter of complaint f~om the residents on Ridge Street and Hartmans Mill Road about he construction of the street in that area and the City's lack of responsiveness to their previous complaints. A discussion f some of the specific problems ensued and Fir. Hendrix said that a representative from the Department of Housing and Urban Develcpment would be meeting with City staff and residents this week tc try to find a solution to the disagreement.
