429 <br /> <br />Other business <br /> <br />Executive~session <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the University of Virginia Cavalier basketball <br />team has promoted and strengthened the Charlottesville <br />Therapeutic ~eCreation Program through its dedication and <br />interest in wheelchair basketball and has set an example of <br />partnership 'between disabled andnon-disabled persons in our <br />community; now, therefore, be it <br /> <br /> RESOLVED by the Council of tke City'of Charlottesville, <br />Virginia, in keeping with the goals of the 1981 International <br />Year of Disabled Persons, that we hereby express our official <br />and personal appreciation to the University of Virginia Cavalier <br />basketball team for its dedication, leadership and support of <br />the Charlottesville Therapeutic Recreation Program. <br /> <br /> Signed and sealed this 20th day of April, 1981, at <br />Charlottesville, Virginia. <br /> <br />In other business, Mr. Conover~asked Council to consider <br /> <br />establishing a permanent framework for accepting private gifts <br />of money for publicly displayed artwOrk, as have been made in <br /> <br />two instances already.
