Mr. Chick Moran, Albemarle County Historical Society <br />in favor of extending Historical Preservation District. <br /> <br /> Mr. Paul Fishbane showed slides of the properties <br />included in the proposed extension of the Historic District <br />along Park Street. <br /> <br /> On motion the meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />President <br /> <br />Regular meeting <br /> <br />Minutes Approved <br /> <br />Public Hearing: Side- <br />walk Master Plan <br /> <br />Announcement re: <br />Mayor- Resignation <br />Redevelopment & <br />H~hsing Authority Bd. <br /> <br />Appointment~?re: <br />Advisory Board on <br />Information & Referral <br /> <br />COUNCIL CHAMBER - MONDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 1975 <br /> <br /> The Council met in regular session on this date with <br /> <br />the following members present: Mr. Barbour, Mr. Fife, Mr. <br />Gilliam, Mrs. Rinehart and Mr. Van Yahres. Absent: None. <br /> <br /> The minutes of the meetings of October 20 and 21, 1975 <br /> <br />were approved as presented. <br /> <br /> A public hearing was held on this date on the proposed <br />Sidewalk Master Plan. The City Manager briefly outlined the <br />proposed Sidewalk Plan. He stated that a public hearing has <br />been held on the Sidewalk Plan by the Planning Commission, which <br />has passed it on to City Council. He stated that there are <br />123.7 miles of streets in the City, 108.1 miles of sidewalks <br />and 40.6 miles of streets with no sidewalks on either side. <br /> <br />He stated that they recommended policy in the plan for financing, <br />proposed that the City pay the entire cost of neighborhood and <br />community sidewalks out of General Revenues and Community <br />Development Act Revenues and all other sidewalks be paid for <br />by the adjacent property owner. Mrs. Julia Crampton addressed <br />the Council in support~of the plan, but stated that the <br />Barracks Road sidewalk was desperately needed and requested <br />that the priority on the sidewalk for Dairy Road be moved <br />up. Mrs. Constance Easton also addressed the Council in support <br />of the Barracks Road sidewalk. A motion by Mrs..Van Yahres, <br />seconded by Mrs. Rinehart that the plan be accepted without <br />priorities, was unanimously adopted. <br /> <br /> The Mayor announced the-resignation of Mrs. Mary Alice <br />Jones, from the Charlottesville Redevelopment and Housing <br />Authority. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mrs.Rinehart, Mrs. Helen Poore, was appointed <br /> to the Advisory Board on Information and Referral. <br /> <br /> <br />
