Noes: None. ~Absent: Mr. Barbour. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mrs. Rinehart, seconded by Mr. Gilliam <br /> <br />the draft of Zoning Ordinance of the City of Charlottesville, <br />Virginia dated October, 1975 and accompanying map dated <br />March 11, 1975 as proposed by the City Planning Commission <br />were adopted with the amend~nents inhere above stated both <br />to be effective January 1, 1976, provided that all permits <br />or approvals of any kind issued under the existing city <br />Zoning Ordinance prior to such date be declared valid for <br />the normal period of time; and provided further that no <br />such permit or approval be extended or renewed unless the same <br />shall comply with the terms of such new ordinance, by <br />the following recorded vote. Ayes: Mr. Fife, Mr. Gilliam, <br />Mrs. Rinehart and Mr. Van Yahres. Noes: None. Absent: Mr. <br />B arb o ur. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Gilliam, seconded by Mr. Fife, Council <br /> <br />endorsed an amendment to Section 15.1-491 of the Code of <br />Virginia to provide that rezoning applications may be initiated <br />by petition of the majority of the property owners in the <br />affected area, and directed the City Attorney to work with <br />Delegate Thomas J. Michie to draft such a bill. Such motion <br />was adopted by'~ the following recorded vote. Ayes: Mr.. <br />Fife, Mr. Giliiam, Mrs. Rinehart and Mr.Van Yahres. Noes: <br />None. Absent: None. <br /> <br /> The minutes of the meeting of December 15, 1975 were <br /> <br />approved as amended, by the following vote. Ayes: Mr. <br />Fife, Mr. Gilliam, Mrs. Rinehart and Mr. Van Yahres. <br />(Mr. Barbour, Abstained) <br /> <br /> The establishment of an Industrial Development Revenue <br /> <br />Bond Authority was again discussed. Mr. Fife stated that <br />since there is a possibility that the City will join the <br />County in establishing the authority there should be a <br />con~mittee to study and make recommendation. He also suggested <br />that the County be requested to appoint a similar committee. <br />The Mayor appointed Mt. Fife, Mr. Van Yahres and Mr. Wiley <br />to work with the County Committee. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mrs. Rinehart, Mrs. Linda Swingler, was <br /> <br />appointed to the Information and Referral Board by unanimous <br /> <br />vote. <br /> <br /> <br />
