Executive Session <br /> <br />as will best safeguard the vital community resource. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, this Council wishes to express <br />its appreciation to the Board of Supervisors for taking such <br />actions as the Board thought best to safeguard the reservoir. <br /> On motion by Mr. Fife, seconded by Mr. Van Yahres the <br />Council voted to go into executive session to discuss a <br />legal matter, by the following recorded vote. Noes: None. <br /> <br /> On motion the meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />COUNCIL CHAMBER - MONDAY, FEBRUARY 2, 1976 <br /> <br />Regular meeting <br /> <br />Appointment re: <br />Acting Clerk of <br />Council <br /> <br />Approval of minutes <br /> <br />Presentation re: <br />Urban Observatory <br />Report - Lane High <br />School <br /> <br />Appropriation re: <br />$59,666 - Bus Service <br /> <br />Appropriation re: <br />$15,482 - Fire <br />Department <br /> <br /> The Council met in regular session on this date with <br />the following members present: Mr. Barbour, Mr. Fife, Mr. <br />Gilliam, Mrs. Rinehart and Mr. Van Yahres. Absent: None. <br /> On motion by Mr. Fife, seconded by Mr. Van Yahres, <br /> <br />Myra Bruce was appointed Acting Clerk of the Council. <br /> <br /> The minutes of the meeting of January 20, 1976 were <br /> <br />approved and corrected. <br /> <br /> Mrs. Marcia Mashaw, Director of Urban Observatory, <br />presented to the Council the Urban Observatory Report <br />concerning Lane High School. On motion by Mr. Van Yahres, <br />seconded by Mr. Gilliam the report was accepted to he <br />turned over to the Joint Study Committee and with copies <br />sent to the joint members ~ho are on the school board, as <br />well as city members. <br /> <br /> The resolution appropriating $70,112 to operate the <br /> Transit Service through June 1, 1976, which was offered at <br /> the meeting of the Council on January 20, 1976, was amended <br /> to $59,666 for operation of the Transit Service through <br /> May 1, 1976, and adopted by the following recorded vote. <br /> Ayes: Mr. Barbour, Mr. Fife, Mr. Gilliam, Mrs. Rinehart and <br /> Mr. Van Yahres. Noes: None. <br /> <br /> The resolution appropriating $15,482 for additional <br /> personnel at the Fire Department, which was offered at <br /> the meeting of the Council on January 20, 1976, was adopted <br /> by the following recorded vote. Ayes: Mr. Barbour, Mr. <br /> Fife, Mr. Gilliam, Mrs. Rinehart and Mr. Van Yahres. Noes: <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br /> <br />
