Discussion re: <br />OIC Funding <br /> <br />Consideration re: <br />Appropriation - <br />$32,903.56 - OIC <br />donation <br /> <br /> The Council met in special session on this date with the <br /> following members present: Mr. Brunton, Mr. Fife and Mrs. <br /> O'Brien. Absent: Mr. Barbour and Mr. Gatewood. <br /> <br /> Mr. Fife reported that he had been in contact with State <br /> Officials trying to get funds released which are due to O.I.C. <br /> He stated that it might take months to get an answer.from the <br /> appropriate officials but in the meantime the City will have <br /> to s~ep in and help, but there is some risk involved. He <br /> stated that enough money is needed to pay the 24 full and <br /> part-time employees for the oast four pay periods. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Fife, seconded by Mr. Brunton the <br />following resolution was offered and carried over to a special <br />meeting to be held Monday, November 29, 1976 for <br />consideration: <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville that $32,903.56 be and the same is hereby <br />appropriated from the General Fund, as a donation to Central <br />Virginia~otc, Inc.~under conditions devised by the City <br />Attorney to insure that it be used to pay the back wages due <br />~he employees of O.I.C. <br /> <br /> On motion the meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />~ ~Clerk <br /> <br />ident <br /> <br />COUNCIL CHAMBER - MONDAY, NOVE~.~BER 29, 1976 <br /> <br />Special meeting <br /> <br />Pursuant to the following call: <br /> <br />Mr. Charles L.
