297 <br /> <br />Appropriation - <br />Deferred <br /> <br /> BE IT RESO~'~ by the'Council of the City of Charlottesville <br />that there is hereby appropriated from the Grants Fund to expenditure <br />account 11-91051 the sum of $19,477 or as much there of as may be <br />nec,essary for the employment of the Training Coordinator and related <br />expenses for the year beginning January 1, 1978 and ending December <br />31,I 1978; provided that such appropriation shall be contingent <br />upoN the receipt of revenue in a like amount by the Grants Fund <br />_.fr°~ federal "anti-recession" funds allocated to the City under <br />Title II of the Public Works Employment Act of 1976; and provided <br />further that the expenditure of such sum shall be in all cases <br />conform to'applicable laws and regulations governing such funds. <br /> <br /> Action on the second reading of the appropriation for architect's <br />fees for the new school gymnasium was deferred since_~it was the opinion <br /> <br />of the Council that this project should be evaluated in the total <br /> <br />capital improvements picture. <br /> <br />Resolution re: <br />Raffle Permit <br />Christ Episcopal <br />Church <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Barbour, seconded by Mr. Gatewood the following <br />resolution was unanimously adopted. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Christ Episcopal Church has duly applied for a <br />permit to conduct raffles in compliance with §17-19 of the Code of <br />the~Cit~-df 'Charlottesville, 1976, as amended; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it has been determined that Christ Episcopal <br />Church meets the qualifications as outlined in ~17-19; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Charlottesville that a permit-he granted to Christ Episcopal <br />Chu{ch to conduct raffles in accordance with all the provisions of <br />§17-19 of the Code of the City of Charlottesville for a period of <br />one year from the date of this resolution; and <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Council be <br />directed to send a copy of this resolution to Christ Episcopal <br />Church. <br /> <br />Resolution - <br />Raffle Permit - <br />Thomas Jefferson <br />Chapter of Trout <br />Unlimited <br /> <br />On motion by Mr. Fife, seconded by Mr. Gatewood the following <br /> <br />resolution was unanimously adoPted. <br /> ! WHEREAS, the Thomas Jefferson Chapter of Trout Unlimited <br />hasJduly applied for a permit to conduct raffles in compliance with <br />~17~19 of the Code of the City of .Charlottesville, 1976 as amended; <br />and ' <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it has been determined that the Thomas Jefferson <br />Chapter of Trout Unlimited meets the qualifications as outlined in <br />§17-19; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Charlottesville that a permit be granted to the Thomas Jefferson <br />Chapter of Trout Unlimited to conduct raffles in accordance with <br />all ~he provisions of §17-19 of the Code of the City of Charlottesville <br />for a period?of one year from the date of this resolution; and <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Council be <br />directed to send a copy of this resolution to the Secretary-Treasurer <br />of the Thomas Jefferson Chapter of Trout Unlimited. <br /> <br />Ordinance re: <br />Rezoning <br />Monticello Rd. & <br />Hinton Ave. at <br />Meridian St. <br /> <br /> An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND REENACTING THE <br />DIST~ICTMAP INCORPORATED IN SECTION 31-4 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE <br />OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976, BY THE REZONING <br />OF SEVERAL! PARCELS OF LAND FRONTING ON MONTICELL~ ROAD - HINTON <br />AVEN~E AND ONE PARCEL FRONTING ON MERIDIAN STREET IN THE CITY OF <br />CHARLOTTESVILLE," which was offered at the meeting of the Council <br />on October 17, 1977, was adopted by the following recorded vote. <br />Ayes: Mr. Barbour, Mr. Brunton, Mr. Fife, Mr. Gatewood and Mrs. <br /> <br />O'Brien.
