297 Appropriation - Deferred BE IT RESO~'~ by the'Council of the City of Charlottesville that there is hereby appropriated from the Grants Fund to expenditure account 11-91051 the sum of $19,477 or as much there of as may be nec,essary for the employment of the Training Coordinator and related expenses for the year beginning January 1, 1978 and ending December 31,I 1978; provided that such appropriation shall be contingent upoN the receipt of revenue in a like amount by the Grants Fund _.fr°~ federal "anti-recession" funds allocated to the City under Title II of the Public Works Employment Act of 1976; and provided further that the expenditure of such sum shall be in all cases conform to'applicable laws and regulations governing such funds. Action on the second reading of the appropriation for architect's fees for the new school gymnasium was deferred since_~it was the opinion of the Council that this project should be evaluated in the total capital improvements picture. Resolution re: Raffle Permit Christ Episcopal Church On motion by Mr. Barbour, seconded by Mr. Gatewood the following resolution was unanimously adopted. WHEREAS, Christ Episcopal Church has duly applied for a permit to conduct raffles in compliance with §17-19 of the Code of the~Cit~-df 'Charlottesville, 1976, as amended; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that Christ Episcopal Church meets the qualifications as outlined in ~17-19; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that a permit-he granted to Christ Episcopal Chu{ch to conduct raffles in accordance with all the provisions of §17-19 of the Code of the City of Charlottesville for a period of one year from the date of this resolution; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Council be directed to send a copy of this resolution to Christ Episcopal Church. Resolution - Raffle Permit - Thomas Jefferson Chapter of Trout Unlimited On motion by Mr. Fife, seconded by Mr. Gatewood the following resolution was unanimously adoPted. ! WHEREAS, the Thomas Jefferson Chapter of Trout Unlimited hasJduly applied for a permit to conduct raffles in compliance with ~17~19 of the Code of the City of .Charlottesville, 1976 as amended; and ' WHEREAS, it has been determined that the Thomas Jefferson Chapter of Trout Unlimited meets the qualifications as outlined in §17-19; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that a permit be granted to the Thomas Jefferson Chapter of Trout Unlimited to conduct raffles in accordance with all ~he provisions of §17-19 of the Code of the City of Charlottesville for a period?of one year from the date of this resolution; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Council be directed to send a copy of this resolution to the Secretary-Treasurer of the Thomas Jefferson Chapter of Trout Unlimited. PARCELS OF LAND FRONTING ON MONTICELL~ ROAD - HINTON AVEN~E AND ONE PARCEL FRONTING ON MERIDIAN STREET IN THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE," which was offered at the meeting of the Council on October 17, 1977, was adopted by the following recorded vote. Ayes: Mr. Barbour, Mr. Brunton, Mr. Fife, Mr. Gatewood and Mrs. O'Brien. Noes: None.
