<br /> On motion by Mr~,~..~F~ife, seconded by Mr. Brunton the following
<br /> resolution was unanimously adopted.
<br />
<br /> A RESOLUTION appointing viewers to consider a request for
<br /> the vacation of Oak Ridge Street.
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, this Council has received a petition requesting
<br /> vacation of Oak Ridge Street; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, it appears to Council that the notices required
<br /> by §15.1-364 of the Code of Virginia (1950), as amended, have
<br /> b~en duly posted;
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
<br /> City of Charlottesville that Messrs. Mason S. Byrd, W. J. Copeland
<br /> and H. P. Winn report in writing to Council what inconvenience,
<br /> if any, would result from such vacation.
<br />
<br /> On motion by Mr. Barbour, seconded by Mr. Brunton the Council
<br /> approved for the Mayor's signature on two contracts between the
<br /> City, the Opportunities Industri&lization Center of Central Virginia
<br /> and the Virginia Employment Commission for one contract and City,
<br /> OIC and State Board of Education for the other. These provide for
<br /> the City to honor OIC's invoices for services performed under
<br /> their grant agreements with State agencies subject to the City
<br /> being reimbursed by those agencies at a later date.
<br />
<br /> An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND REORDAIN
<br /> SECTION 5-24 AND 5-25 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE,
<br /> 1976, AS AMENDED, BY REQUIRING PERMITS TO BE OBTAINED FOR SEWER
<br /> WORK AND REQUIRING PERMIT FEES TO BE CHARGED FOR SEWER WORK,"
<br /> which was offered at the meeting of the Council on November 21,
<br /> 1977, was adopted by the following recorded vote. Ayes: Mr.
<br />
<br /> Barbour, Mr. Brunton, Mr. Fife, Mr. Gatewood and Mrs. O'Brien. Noes:
<br />

<br />CONTROLS UNDER THE CITY ZONING ORDINANCE," which was offered
<br />at the meeting of the Council on November 21, 1977, was adopted
