Resolution re: <br />Appointing Viewers - <br />Oak Ridge Street <br /> <br />Approving Contracts <br />with OIC <br /> <br />Ordinance re: <br />Amending the City <br />Code Regarding <br />Permits for Sewer <br />Work <br /> <br />Ordinance re: <br />Historic <br />Preservation and <br />Architectural <br />Design Controls <br /> <br />Consideration re: <br />Ordinance - Gas <br />Thermal Billing <br /> <br />Consideration re: <br />Ordinance - PUD <br />Amendment - <br />Willoughby <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr~,~..~F~ife, seconded by Mr. Brunton the following <br /> resolution was unanimously adopted. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION appointing viewers to consider a request for <br /> the vacation of Oak Ridge Street. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council has received a petition requesting <br /> vacation of Oak Ridge Street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it appears to Council that the notices required <br /> by §15.1-364 of the Code of Virginia (1950), as amended, have <br /> b~en duly posted; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br /> City of Charlottesville that Messrs. Mason S. Byrd, W. J. Copeland <br /> and H. P. Winn report in writing to Council what inconvenience, <br /> if any, would result from such vacation. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Barbour, seconded by Mr. Brunton the Council <br /> approved for the Mayor's signature on two contracts between the <br /> City, the Opportunities Industri&lization Center of Central Virginia <br /> and the Virginia Employment Commission for one contract and City, <br /> OIC and State Board of Education for the other. These provide for <br /> the City to honor OIC's invoices for services performed under <br /> their grant agreements with State agencies subject to the City <br /> being reimbursed by those agencies at a later date. <br /> <br /> An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND REORDAIN <br /> SECTION 5-24 AND 5-25 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, <br /> 1976, AS AMENDED, BY REQUIRING PERMITS TO BE OBTAINED FOR SEWER <br /> WORK AND REQUIRING PERMIT FEES TO BE CHARGED FOR SEWER WORK," <br /> which was offered at the meeting of the Council on November 21, <br /> 1977, was adopted by the following recorded vote. Ayes: Mr. <br /> <br /> Barbour, Mr. Brunton, Mr. Fife, Mr. Gatewood and Mrs. O'Brien. Noes: <br /> <br />None. <br /> An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND REORDAIN <br />ARTICLE XVI OF CHAPTER 31 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTES- <br />VILLE, 1976, BY AMENDING SECTIONS 31-128, 31-130, 31-141, AND <br />31-146, ADDING SECTIONS 31-127.1, 31-127.2, 31-138.1, 31-139.1, <br />31-139.2, 31-139.3, 31-139.4, 31-140.1, 31-140.2 AND 31-147.1 <br />RELATING TO HISTORIC PRESERVATION AND ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN <br />CONTROLS UNDER THE CITY ZONING ORDINANCE," which was offered <br />at the meeting of the Council on November 21, 1977, was adopted <br /> <br />by the fOllowing recorded vote. Ayes: Mr. Barbour, Mr. Brunton, <br /> <br />Mr. Fife, Mr. Gatewood and Mrs. O'Brien. Noes: None. <br /> <br /> An ordinanc~ entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND REORDAIN <br />CHAPTER 12 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE BY ADDING <br />A SECTION 12=7.1 TO PROVIDE FOR AN ADJUSTMENT TO BE MADE TO <br />MONTHLY GAS BILLINGS BASED ON THERMAL CONTENT OF GAS DELIVERED," <br />was offered by Mr. Fife, seconded by Mr. Brunton and carried over <br />to the next meeting for consideration. <br /> <br /> An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE ORDINANCE <br />ADOPTED MARCH 16, 1976 WHICH GRANTED A PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT <br />ZONING CLASSIFICATION FOR THE PROPERTY KNOWN AS WILLOUGHBY,"' was <br />offered by Mr. Fife, seconded by Mr. B=unton and carried over to <br />the next meeting for consideration. <br /> <br />3O9 <br /> <br /> <br />
