380. <br /> <br />Consideration re: <br />Ordinance Planned Unit <br />Development Property <br />at 250 Bypass & <br />Hydraulic Road <br /> <br />Consideration re: <br />Ordinance - Rezoning <br />of Property known <br />as~ Lane High School <br /> <br />B. Resolved by the Council of the City of Charlottesville: <br /> (1) That th~ Mayor be authorized to execute a deed <br /> transferring title to certain lots acquired or <br /> assigned to the Land Lease Program to th'e Charlottesville <br /> Redevelopment and~Housing Authority; <br /> <br /> (2) That the City Manager be authorized to transfer <br /> Community Development Blo6k Grant funds designated <br /> for the Land Lease Program to the Charlottesville <br /> Redevelopment and Housing Authority, upon receipt <br /> of satisfactory assurance that the Authority will <br /> abide by all applicable federal regulations in the <br /> expendi~ure of' such funds, in like manne~ as for <br /> other such funds of which the Authority zs subgrantee; <br /> and <br /> <br /> (3) That the City Manager and staff be authorized <br /> and directed to cooperate with and assist the Authority <br /> in all measures necessary for the successful <br /> administration of the Land Lease Program. <br /> <br /> A communication was presented from the Planning Commission <br /> recommending that the petition to rezone from R-1 to R-1 <br /> Planned Unit Development property located at the northeast <br /> quadrant of the intersection of Hydraulic Road and 250 <br /> By-pass be approved for the following reasons: 1. It <br /> maintains the overall housing unit density as in the R-1 <br /> zone; 2. It allows for better use of the property; 3. <br /> It is in harmony with the 1990 Lane Use Plan; 4. It <br /> protects existing natural environment and resulting <br /> development is more in harmony with the existing land <br /> contours; 5. The impact of these units on traffic will <br /> not be significantly different from a single family <br /> development; and 6' The project will result in appropriate <br /> amenities for the residents of the area which otherwise <br /> would not be provided. An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE <br /> TO AMEND THE ZONING DISTRICT MAP INCORPORATED BY REFERENCE <br /> IN SECTION 31'4 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, <br /> 1976, AS AMENDED BY CHANGING TO THE PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT <br /> (PUD) ZONING CLASSIFICATION PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE <br /> INTERSECTION OF HYDRAULIC ROAD AND THE U. S. ROUTE 250 <br /> BYPASS, DESIGNATED AS TAX MAP PARCEL 41-A-l," was offered <br /> by Mr. Barbour, seconded by Mr.Fife and carried over to <br /> the next meeting for_consideration. <br /> <br /> A communication was presented from the Planning Commission <br /> recommending that the petition to rezone from R-3 to <br /> <br /> B-1 property commOnly known as Lane High School be approved <br /> <br />for the following reasons: <br />the 1990-Land Hse Plan, 2. <br />the surrounding land use; <br /> <br /> 1.. It is compatible with <br /> <br />It will be compatible with <br />and 3. It will have a positive <br /> <br />effect on the~central city revitilization. An ordinance <br />entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND REENACTING THE DISTRICT <br />MAP INCORPORATED IN SECTION 31-4 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE <br /> <br />OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976 BY THE <br />REZONING OF A PORTION OF PARCEL 134 ON CITY REAL PROPERTY <br />TAX MAp 35 IN THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE," was offered by <br />Mr. Brunton, seconded by Mr. Fife and carried over to the <br />next meeting for consideration. <br /> <br /> <br />
