Ayes: Mr. Fife and Mrs. O'Brien.
Noes: Mr. Barbour, Mr. Brunton, and Mr. Gatewood.

Mr. Huja presented the highway design concepts

for Hydraulic Road as agreed upon by the Planning Commission
as follows: Widening to four lanes with turning lane
improvements to hydraulic Road; improvement of
intersection with Brandywine and Michie Drive which will
consolidate Hydraulic, Michie and Brandywine into one
intersection, but would give preference to the Hydraulic
Road traffic; there will be a diamond interchange at
at 250 Bypass, Hydraulic and~Rugby Road; there will be
a right turn in and out traffic to Rugby Road and traffic
from Rugby Road going north to Hydraulic Road with no
traffic from Hydraulic Road going south to Rugby; signs
should be placed in appropriate locations to facilitate
the directing of traffic on alternate ways to get to the
University Hospital and University parking; City Council
try an interim measure on the present road bed at the
intersection of Hydraulic, 250 Bypass and Rugby Road
by blocking traffic from Hydraulic Road going south to
Rugby Road. A new interchange at the intersection of

29 North and Hydraulic Road to be designed~in a way as not
to have significant adverse impact on the bank located
at the northeast corner; six lanes on 29 North from
Hydraulic Road to 250 Bypass; and improvement to the
intersection of 29.North and 250 Bypass to accomodate the
traffic in a reasonable manner.
