Mr. John Greene advised the Council <br /> than many of the streets have been repaved this spring and the <br /> staff is in the process of repainting the crosswalks. <br /> <br /> A communication was presented from the Thomas Jefferson <br />Planning District Commission stating that the commission has <br />been notified that supplementary HUD 701 funding is available <br />to non-metropolitan planning district commissions for certain <br />area wide functions including coordination of air quality <br />control programs with local and regional plans. It stated that <br />if two or more localities indicate an interest in participating <br />in the study it is probably the TJPDC could obtain some <br />funding. The grant could cover part of TJPDC staff to serve as <br />a liason with the State Air Pollution Control Board and to <br />track regulations. It could also provide funds for some <br />monitoring and modeling to anticipate potential trouble spots <br />in local land use plans in order to avoid future:costly and <br /> <br /> undesirable delays.
