Matters by the Public: <br />William Johnson <br /> <br />Request re: Mr. Albro <br />change in Matters <br />by the Public on the <br />Agenda <br /> <br />Executive Session <br /> <br /> CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO LOTTERIES, <br /> RAFFLES AND BINGO GAMES," was offered by Mrs. O'Brien, seconded <br /> by Mr. Gatewood and carried over to the next meeting for <br /> consideration. <br /> <br /> Mr. William Johnson a trustee of Pilgrim Baptist Church <br /> addressed the Council and protested the closing of Albemarle <br /> Street. <br /> <br /> Mr. Albro suggested that the first thirty minutes of <br />Council meetings be set aside for matters by the public if <br />any and if more than thirty minutes is required then Council <br />could decide if they want to extend the time or carry the <br />public matters to the end of the meeting. Mrs. O'Brien <br />stated that she would support this proposal if a time limit <br />is set for each person speaking. <br /> <br /> A motion by Mrs. O'Brien, seconded by Mr. Albro that <br />Council meet in executive session to discuss a matter <br />exempted by Section 2.1-344(a)(1) of the Virginia Freedom of <br />Information Act, was adopted by the following recorded vote. <br />Ayes: Mr. Albro, Mr. Brunton, Mr. Buck, Mr. Gatewood and <br />Mrs. O'Brien.
