' Deferral on Ordinance pertaining to appointment of Planning Commission members Ordinance re: Amending Article I of Chapter 30, City Code regarding local Board of Social Services Ordinance re: Designating Property known as "Oak Lawn" as a Landmark Executiv Regular Executiv Session %eeting Session BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that the sum of $10,320 is. hereby appropriated from the unappropriated balance of the General Fund to the Charlottesville-Albemarle Joint Security Complex for additional operating costs for fiscal year 1978-79. The Mayor requested that action be deferred on the ordinance pertaining to appointment of Planning Commission members. Mrs. O'Brien requested that copies be circulated to the Planning Connnission and the neighborhood associations for comment. An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ARTICLE I OF CHAPTER 30 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976, AS AMENDED, BY ADDING A NEW SECTION 30-6.1 APPOINTING THE DIRECTOR OF SOCIAL SERVICES AS THE LOCAL BOARD OF SOCIAL SERVICES," which was offered at the meeting of the Council on September 25, 1978, was adopted by the following recorded vote. Ayes: Mr. Albro, Mr. Brunton, Mr. Buck, Mr. Gatewood and Mrs. O'Brien. Noes: None. An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING AS A LANDMARK PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE INTERSECTION OF CHERRY AVENUE AND NINTH STREET, S. W., KNOWN AS OAK LAWN," which was offered at the meeting of the Council on September 25, 1978 was adopted by the following recorded vote. Ayes: Mr. Albro, Mr. Brunton, Mr. Buck, Mr. Gatewood and Mrs. O!Brien. Noes.: N~ne. A mQtion by Mr. Gatewood, seconded by Mrs. O'Brien that Council meet in executive session to discuss matters exempted by Section 2.1-344(a)(1), Section 2.1-344(a)(2) and Section 2.1-344(a)(6) of the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, w~s adopted by the following recorded vote. Ayes: Mr. Albro, M~. Brunton, Mr. Buck, Mr. Gatewood and Mrs. O'Brien. Noes: NoIne. On motion the meeting adjourned. COUNCIL CHAMBER - MONDAY, OCTOBER 16, 1978 The Council met in regular session on this date with the following members present: Mr. Albro, Mr. Brunton, Mr. Buck, Mr. Gatewood and Mrs. O'Brien. Absent: None. A motion by Mr. Gatewood, seconded by Mr. Albro that Council meet in executive session to discuss a matter exempted by Section 2.1-344(a)(1) of the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, was adopted by the following recorded vote. Ayes: Mr. Albro, Mr. Brunton and Mr. Gatewood. Noes: None. Mr. Buck and Mrs. O'Brien absent at this time.
