492 Consideration re: Appropriation - $913156 Bailey Road Street Lights Adopted Resolution re: Appointing Viewers - Monte Vista Avenue Resolution re: Bingo Permit - Charlottesville- Albemarle Jaycees, Inc. Resolution re: Bingo & Raffle Permit - Ch'ville Educational Foundation BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the sum of $6,500, or as muchJthereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated from the Grants Fund to expenditure account 11-71030 as the entire budget for such study project, provided that the Grants Fund receives revenues allocated to such study in the form of aforesaid General Fund appropriation of $2,500 and $4,000 in grant funds' from the National Endowment for the Arts. On motion by Mrs. 0'Brien, seconded by Mr. Albr° the following resolution was adopted by the following recorded vote. Ayes: Mr. Albro, Mr. Brunton, Mr. Buck, Mr. Gatewood and Mrs. O'Brien. Noes: None. BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of CharlotteSville, that the sum of $913.56 is hereby appropriated from the unappropriated balance of the General Fund to expenditure account 01-24040 to fund the cost of installation of underground wiring for additional street lights on a portion of Bailey Road. On motion by Mrs. O'Brien, seconded by Mr. Albro the following resolution was unanimously adopted. A RESOLUTION appointing viewers to consider a request for the vacation of a portion of an unopened 50 foot street running in a westerly direction from Monte Vista Avenue Extended for approximately 158 feet, more or less, and lying between Parcels 77 and 78 on City Real Property Tax Map 19. WHEREAS, this Council has received a petition requesting vacation of a portion of an unopened 50 foot street running in a westerly direction from Monte Vista Avenue Extended for approximately 158 feet~ more or less, and lying between Parcels 77 and 78 on City Real Property Tax Map 193 and WHEREAS, it appears to Council that the notices required by ~15.1-364 of the CO.de of Virginia (1950), as amended, have been duly posted; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that MeSsrs. W. J. Copeland, Mason S. Byrd and H. P. Winn report in writing to Council what inconvenience, if any, would result from such vacation. On motion by Mrs. O'Brien, seconded by Mr. Albro the following resolution was unanimously adopted. WREREAS, the Charlottesville-Albemarle Jaycees, Incorporated, has duly applied for a permit to conduct bingo parties in compliance with §17-19 of the Code of the City of Charlottesville, 1976, as amended; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that the Charlottesville-Albemarle Jaycees, Incorporated meets the qualifications as outlined in ~17-19; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that a permit be granted to the Charlottesville-Albemarle Jaycees, Incorporated to conduct bingo parties in accordance with all the provisions of §17-19 oflthe Code of the City of Charlottesville for a period beginning February 20, 2979 and ending December 31, 1979; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Council be directed to send a copy of this resolution to the Charlottesville-Albemarle Jaycees, Incorporated. On motion by Mrs. O'Brien, seconded by Mr. Albro the following resOlution was unanimously adopted. WHEREAS, the Charlottesville Education Foundation has duly applied for a permit to conduct raffles and bingo parties in compliance with §17-19 of the Code of the City of Charlottesville, 1976, as amended; and
