492 <br /> <br />Consideration re: <br />Appropriation - $913156 <br />Bailey Road Street Lights <br />Adopted <br /> <br />Resolution re: Appointing <br />Viewers - Monte Vista <br />Avenue <br /> <br />Resolution re: Bingo <br />Permit - Charlottesville- <br />Albemarle Jaycees, Inc. <br /> <br />Resolution re: Bingo & <br />Raffle Permit - Ch'ville <br />Educational Foundation <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the sum of $6,500, <br />or as muchJthereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated <br />from the Grants Fund to expenditure account 11-71030 as the <br />entire budget for such study project, provided that the Grants <br />Fund receives revenues allocated to such study in the form of <br />aforesaid General Fund appropriation of $2,500 and $4,000 <br />in grant funds' from the National Endowment for the Arts. <br /> On motion by Mrs. 0'Brien, seconded by Mr. Albr° the <br />following resolution was adopted by the following recorded <br />vote. Ayes: Mr. Albro, Mr. Brunton, Mr. Buck, Mr. Gatewood <br /> <br />and Mrs. O'Brien. Noes: None. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />CharlotteSville, that the sum of $913.56 is hereby <br />appropriated from the unappropriated balance of the <br />General Fund to expenditure account 01-24040 to fund the <br />cost of installation of underground wiring for additional <br />street lights on a portion of Bailey Road. <br /> On motion by Mrs. O'Brien, seconded by Mr. Albro the <br /> <br />following resolution was unanimously adopted. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION appointing viewers to consider a <br />request for the vacation of a portion of an unopened 50 <br />foot street running in a westerly direction from Monte <br />Vista Avenue Extended for approximately 158 feet, more or <br />less, and lying between Parcels 77 and 78 on City Real <br />Property Tax Map 19. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council has received a petition <br />requesting vacation of a portion of an unopened 50 foot <br />street running in a westerly direction from Monte Vista <br />Avenue Extended for approximately 158 feet~ more or less, <br />and lying between Parcels 77 and 78 on City Real Property <br />Tax Map 193 and <br /> WHEREAS, it appears to Council that the notices <br /> required by ~15.1-364 of the CO.de of Virginia (1950), as <br /> amended, have been duly posted; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of <br /> the City of Charlottesville that MeSsrs. W. J. Copeland, <br /> Mason S. Byrd and H. P. Winn report in writing to Council <br /> what inconvenience, if any, would result from such <br /> vacation. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mrs. O'Brien, seconded by Mr. Albro the <br /> <br />following resolution was unanimously adopted. <br /> <br /> WREREAS, the Charlottesville-Albemarle Jaycees, <br />Incorporated, has duly applied for a permit to conduct <br />bingo parties in compliance with §17-19 of the Code of <br />the City of Charlottesville, 1976, as amended; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it has been determined that the <br />Charlottesville-Albemarle Jaycees, Incorporated meets the <br />qualifications as outlined in ~17-19; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of <br />the City of Charlottesville that a permit be granted to <br />the Charlottesville-Albemarle Jaycees, Incorporated to <br />conduct bingo parties in accordance with all the provisions <br />of §17-19 oflthe Code of the City of Charlottesville for <br />a period beginning February 20, 2979 and ending December <br />31, 1979; and <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the <br /> Council be directed to send a copy of this resolution to <br /> the Charlottesville-Albemarle Jaycees, Incorporated. <br /> <br />On motion by Mrs. O'Brien, seconded by Mr. Albro the <br /> <br />following resOlution was unanimously adopted. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Charlottesville Education Foundation <br />has duly applied for a permit to conduct raffles and <br />bingo parties in compliance with §17-19 of the Code of <br />the City of Charlottesville, 1976, as amended; and <br /> <br /> <br />
