RESOLUTION RE: <br />COMMITTEE TO STUDY <br />EXISTING STREAMS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ IT IS THE DESIRE Of COUNC IL THAT THE RESTORATION AND FUTURE <br /> <br />PROTECTION OF THESE STREAMS BE STUDIED TO THE END THAT APPROPRIATE ACTIONS AND <br /> <br />POLICIES MAY BE INSTITUTED. <br /> <br /> NOW~ THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTES- <br /> <br />VILLE THAT THERE IS HEREBY CREATED A COMMITTEE TO STUDY THE PROTECTION OF STREAMS <br />IN THE CiTY Of CHARLOTTESVILLE. THE COMMITTEE SHALL BE COMPOSED OF 7 MEMBERS TO BE <br />APPOINTED BY THE COUNCIL, THE COHMITTEE SHALL SELECT FROM ITS MEMBERSHIP A CHAIRMAN. <br />THE COMMITTEE IS REQUESTED TO STUDY THE EXISTING CONDITION OF THE STREAHS IN CHARLOTTES- <br />VILLE~ TO EXAMINE AND RECOMMEND WITH RESPECT TO WAYS AND MEANS FOR CORRECTING DEFICIEN- <br />CIES AND TO SUBHIT SUCH RECOMMENDATIONS AS MAY TO IT SEEN APPROPRIATE WITH RESPECT TO <br />FUTURE PROTECTION OF THESE STREAMS. <br /> <br /> BE IT ~JRTHER RESOLVED THAT THiS COMMITTEE IS HEREBY AUTHORIZED TO CALL UPON <br />SUCH CITY DEPARTMENTS AND OFFICERS THAT THEY MAY DEEM NECESSARY TO ASSIST THEM IN THE <br />STUDY OF ANY TECHNICAL ASPECTS INVOLVED IN THEIR OVERALL WORK. <br /> <br /> ON MOTION BY MR.'FIFE~ SECONDED BY MR.
