JONES~ PASTOR OF THE MONTICELLO WESLEYAN CHURCH~ GAVE THE INVOGATION, <br /> THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF NOVEMBER t~ 1971 WERE APPROVED AS PRESENTED, <br /> <br /> MR. JAMES B. MURRAY~ CHAIRMAN OF THE COMMUNITY COLLEGE LOCAL BOARD AND DR. HAROLD J. <br />MCGEE~ PRESIDENT OF PIEDMONT VIRGINIA COMMUNITY COLLEGE ADDRESSED THE COUNCIL AND GAVE A <br />PROGRESS REPORT ON THE COLLEGE'S DEVELOPMENT. DR. MCGEE STATED THAT CONSTRUCTION WILL BEGIN <br />IN FEBRUARY~ 197~ AND THE COLLEGE WILL OPEN IN THE FALL OF 1972 AT A TEMPORARY LOCATION. <br /> <br />HE ALSO STATED THAT THE COST OF THE COLLEGE SITE AND DEVELOPMENTS WOULD SUBSTANTIALLY EXCEED <br />THE 1969 ESTIMATE OF ~400~000,00. HE ESTIMATED THAT THE PRESENT COST WOULD BE ~645~000.00: <br /> <br /> MR.
