RINEHART, SECONDED BY MR, VAN YAHRES THE FOLLOWING <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RE: <br />VACATION - PRESTON <br />AVENUE <br /> <br />APPOINTMENT RE: <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />APPOINTMENT RE: <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />/~_LOCATION RE: <br />REVENUE SHARING FUNOS <br /> <br />CONFIRMATION RE: <br />CHARLOTTESVILLE FIRE CO. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION WAS UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED. <br /> A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS TO CONSIDER A REQUEST FOR THE <br />VACATION OF CERTAIN ALLEYS IN THE 900 BLOCK OF PRESTON AVENUE, SUCH ALLEYS <br />LYING BETWEEN PRESTON AVENUE ON THE SOUTH AND CHARLTON AVENUE ON THE NORTH, <br />AS SHOWN ON CITY TAX MAP NO. 36. <br /> WHEREAS, THIS COUNCIL HAS RECEIVED A PETITION FROM OWNERS OF THE <br /> PROPERTY IN THE 900 BLOCK OF PRESTON AVENUE REQUESTING THE VACATION OF THE <br /> ALLEYS RUNNING THROUGH SUCH BLOCK; AND <br /> WHEREAS, IT APPEARS TO COUNCIL THAT THE NOTICES REQUIRED BY <br /> ~15.1-364 OF THE CODE OF VIRGINIA (1950), AS AMENDED, HAVE BEEN DULY POSTED; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> CHARLOTTESVILLE THAT MESSRS. J. P. BORDEN, LEE GREAVER AND MASON S. BYRD <br /> BE AND THE SAME ARE HEREBY APPOINTED AS VIEWERS, TO VIEW SUCH ALLEYS AND <br /> REPORT IN WRITING TO COUNCIL WHAT INCONVENIENCE, IF ANY WOULD RESULT FROM <br /> THE VACATION THEREOF; AND <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVEB THAT THE REQUEST FOR VACATION BE REFERRED <br /> TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION FOR ITS RECOMMENDATION ON THE ADVISABILITY TO <br /> CLOSING SAID ALLEYS. <br /> <br /> ON MOTION BY MR.
