<br />THEIR EFFORTS TO INCREASE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS FOR THE TRANSPORTATION OF
<br />SCHOOL CHILDREN.

<br /> WHEREAS, THE SCHEDULE OF SCHOOL BUSES AS OF RECENT HAS BEEN FOR
<br />THE CONCERN AND CONSIDERATION OF THE SCHOOL CHILDREN, AND;
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, DESPITE SUBSTANTIAL LEGAL AND PRACTICAL OBSTACLES THE
<br />OWNERS OF THE YELLOW TRANSIT COMPANY HAVE VOLUNTAIRLy AGREED TO PROVIDE'THE
<br />NECESSARY SIGNALS AND MARKINGS FOR THEIR SCHOOL TYPE BUSES USED TO TRANSPORT
<br />STUDENTS TO AND FROM THE CHARLOTTESVILLE PUBLIC SCHOOLS,
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br />CHARLOTTESVILLE THAT MR. AND MRS. d. T. GRAVES THE OWNERS AND OPERATORS OF THE
<br />YELLOW TRANSIT COMPANY BE COMMENDED FOR THEIR PUBLIC SPIRITED RESPONSE AND
<br />VOLUNTARY EFFORTS TO INCREASE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS FOR CHILDREN TRAVELING TO
<br />SCHOOL ON THEIR BUSES. "
