Mr. Jones said the proposal is to locate a building next to Smith
Center, with a long - term lease for $1 a year from the City, with the building to be built,
owned and operated by the Boys and Girls Club. Mr. Jones requested support of the
proposal from the School Board and Council, and said he hopes to make a public
th
announcement on May 13 .

Mr. Bob Paxson, Architect for the project and Boys and Girls Club board
member, reviewed the proposed site and facilities.
