6 <br /> <br />It appearing to be in the best interests of the City, and it being at the request of our <br />former employee, who is represented by counsel, we hereby approve a lump sum <br />settlement of a workers’ compensation claim in the amount of $25,700.00, all as <br />agreed between staff and the employee (whose name is not stated here for reasons <br />of confidentiality). Mr. O'Connell said the <br />County has approved the lease, but the City is required to go through a bid process before <br />awarding the lease. He said the sole bid received was from the Lewis an d Clark <br />Exploratory Center Committee. He said Council needs to designate the bid recipient, <br />hold a public hearing on the lease, and consider the ordinance. <br /> <br />
