LLOYD'T, SMITH ADDRESSED THE COUNCIL AND PRESENTED A PETIT ON REQUESTING <br />THE COUNCIL TO AMEND SECTION 3-34 OF CHAPTER 3 SO THAT IT WOULD NOT AFFECT <br />LAWFULLY LICENSED AND VACCINATED DOGS. MISS Jo WRIGHT ALSO ADDRESSED THE COUNCIL <br />IN SUPPORT OF THE PETITION. THE MAYOR ACCEPTED THE PETITION AND THANKED <br /> <br />MR, SMITH FOR HIS INTEREST, <br /> <br /> A COMMUN I CAT I ON FROM THE REDEVELOPMENT AND Hous I NG AUTHOR I TY REQUEST I NG <br />THAT THE STREETS WITHIN AND ADJACENT TO THE PUBLIC HOUSING PROJECT BE CLOSED <br /> <br />WAS REFERRED TO THE STREET 'COMMITTEE AND PLANNING COMMISSION FOR RECOMMENDATION, <br /> <br /> AN INTERIM REPORT FROM THE SPECIAL COMMITTEE APPOINTED TO STUDY THE MATTER <br />OF ICE CREAM VENDING TRUCKS WAS PRESENTED RECOMMENDING THAT THE TRUCKS BE <br /> <br />PERMITTED TO CONTINUE IN SERVICE IF OPERATED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> ~o BELLS ONLY TO BE USED AND OPERATED ONLY GOING FROM STOP TO STOP. <br /> <br /> AMBER FLASHING LIGHTS TO BE USED WHILE TRUCK IS STOPPED; AND <br /> TRUCK OPERATORS CONTINUE TO EMPHASIZE SAFETY TO EACH PURCHASER. <br /> <br />MR. SOFTER <br /> <br />ORGANIZATION:~ ADDRESSED THE COUNCIL AND EXPLAINED THE SAFETY PROGRAM WHICH THEIR <br />ORGANIZATION SPONSORS, THE COUNCIL REQUESTED THE OPERATORS TO COMPLY WITH THE <br />RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE COMMITTEE AND EACH AGREED TO DO SO~ AND IT WAS REQUESTED <br />BY MR.
