CLOVER~ JR, ADDRESSED THE COUNCIL ON BEHALF OF THE ~00TH <br />ANNIVERSARY COMMISSION AND REQUESTED PERMI.SSION TO USE SOUND TRUCKS IN <br />CONNECTION WITH THE CELEBRATION. A MOTION BY MR. HAGGERTY~ SECONDED BY HR. LEz~ <br />THAT PERMISSION BE GRANTED FOR SATURDAY JUNE 6, 1962 SUBJECT TO RESTRICTIONS OF <br />THE CITY MANAGER AND CHIEF OF POLICE~ AND ANY FUTURE USE BE SUBJECT TO THE <br />RECOMMENDATION OF THE CITY MANAGERz ~AS UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED. <br /> <br /> MR. ~RED PHILLIPS ADDRESSED THE COUNCIL AND REQUESTED THAT THE LICENSE TAX <br />BE WAIVED ON A CARNIVAL TO BE SPONSORED BY THE 200TH ANNIVERSARY COMMISSION FOR <br />ONE WEEK. ON MOTION BY MR. HAGGERTY~ SECONDED BY MR. LE£~ THIS REQUEST WAS <br />DENIED. <br /> <br /> A REQUEST OF HR. E, ED BURRUSS FOR WATER AND GAS EXTENSIONS ON PARK STREET~ <br /> EXTENDED TO SERVE PROPOSED APARTMENTS WAS REFERRED TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> FOR RECOMMENDATION. <br /> A COMMUNICATION ~AS PRESENTED FROM ALLIED REALTY CORPORATION REQUESTING <br /> <br /> THAT THE CITY ACCEPT DEDICATION OF A FIFTY FOOT STREET FROM ~ARRIS ~TREET TO <br /> THE ENTRANCE OF SEARS ROEBUCK WAREHOUSE.
