ARRINGTON, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />ADDRESSED THE COUNCIL AND PRESENTED AN UP TO DATE PROGRESS REPORT ON THE VINEGAR HILL <br />URBAN RENEWAL AND WESTHAVEN HOUSING PROJECTS. THE MAYOR COMMENDED HR. RESOLUTION FROM SCHOOL BOARD RE: PROPERTY ACQUISITION. <br /> BY ORDER OF <br /> <br /> B. J. SCRIBNER. ABSENT: NONE. <br /> <br /> A MOTION BY MR. SCRtBNER~ SECONDED BY MR. MOUNT THAT UNANIMOUS CONSENT BE GIVEN <br /> <br />TO THE RECONSIDERATION OF THE STREET COMMITTEE REPORT RECOMMENDING THAT PARKING BE <br />REMOVED FROM LOCUST AVENUE BETWEEN TAYLOR STREET AND THE 250 BYPASS WAS ADOPTED BY <br /> <br />THE FOLLOWING RECORDED VOTE: AYES: MR. HAGGERTY~ MR. LEE~ HR. HOUNT~ HR. PONTON AND MR. <br />SCRIBNER. NOES: NONE. <br /> <br /> SEVERAL PEOPLE ADDRESSED THE COUNCIL AND STRONGLY URGED THAT PARKING NOT BE BANNED <br />ON LOCUST AVENUE. SOME STATED THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE A DRIVEWAY OR ALLEY WHICH THEY <br />COULD USE AND OTHERS sTATED THAT IT WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE TO USE THEIR DRIVEWAY IN BAD <br />WEATHER. ON MOTION BY MR. SCRIBNER, SECONDED BY HR. MOUNT EXECUTION OF THE PARKING BAN <br />WAS DEFERRED UNTIL OCTOBER 27~ ~9~3 TO GIVE THE RESIDENTS OF LOCUST AVENUE AN OPPORTUNITY <br />TO EXPRESS THEMSELVES. <br /> <br /> ON MOTION BY MR. LEE, SECONDED BY MR. SCRIBNER, THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION WAS UN- <br />ANIMOUSLY ADOPTED: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, A PETITION HAS BEEN RECEIVED DULY SIGNED BY THE NECESSARY <br /> <br /> NUMBER OF QUALIFIED VOTERS SEEKING THE INTRODUCTION OF FLUORINE IN THE <br /> <br /> CITY'S WATER SYSTEM~ AND <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, SECTION 14 B OF THE CitY CHARTER PROVIDES THAT A REFERENDUM <br /> <br /> <br />
